Event and Error Codes via RS232 or Ethernet

Event number

Description

128A light has been connected and is working.
129A light has been connected but does not have a current or voltage rating.
130An over temperature error has occurred.
131An over current error has occurred.
132An error has occurred while autosensing the rating of a light.
138SafePower trainup has completed.
139SafePower trainup has failed or been cancelled.
140In switched mode, the light has been turned off because the duty cycle is too high.

Error number

Description

Err 1A parameter value is invalid.
Err 2Command not recognised.
Err 3A numeric value is in the wrong format.
Err 4Wrong number of parameters.
Err 5This is a warning, not an error. One of the parameters is out of range and the value of that parameter has been adjusted. For example, sending an RT command with a delay of 0μs returns an ‘Err 5’. The command is accepted, but the delay is set to the minimum allowed value.
Err 8, 12EEPROM corrupt. The configuration has been cleared.
Err 9, 20Settings could not be saved to EEPROM.
Err 13SN command: The resync event cannot be found. The channel or tag values may be wrong or the delay period may be complete.
Err 19A light has been connected, but no rating has been set.
Err 21, 23A sensing error has occurred.
Err 22The light is not compatible with the controller. The controller does not drive the light and the web page reports Triniti Chip device protection.
Err 27Ethernet settings cannot be read from EEPROM. They may be incorrect.
Err 34, 37The internal power dissipation is too high. Output is turned off.
Err 35The output current to the light is too low.
Err 36The output is short circuit.
Err 37The voltage required for the lighting has increased too much. Check for ageing of the light or a failed LED.
Err 38The voltage required for the lighting has decreased too much. Check for ageing of the light or a failed LED.
Err 39The internal protection has prevented the SafePower voltage going too high.
Err 40, 41, 45Fatal error: The unit is outputting more current than was expected.
Err 42The output current is too high.
Err 43The requested output current requires too high a voltage.
Err 44Fatal error: The controller is too hot. The unit has a thermal cut out which operates at approximately 65°C to 70°C depending on conditions.
Err 46The maximum average power output has been exceeded. Reduce the brightness in the configuration.
Err 47The controller was unable to reach a stable output for the light connected. Try reducing the brightness in the configuration.

Displayed Event and Error Codes.

Under certain circumstances, event and error codes are displayed on the front panel of the following products:

  • RC1xx
  • TR-RC1xx
  • TR-CL180
  • RT200
  • TR-HT2xx

RC1xx/TR-RC1xx

FAt(Event) An over temperature error has occurred.
FAC(Event) An over current error has occurred.
PO(Error) The internal power dissipation is too high. Output turned off/
OP(Error) The output current to the light is too low or the requested output current requires too high a voltage.
SH(Error) The output is short circuit or the output current is too high.
HI(Error) The voltage required for the lighting has increased too much. Check for ageing of the light or a failed LED.
LO(Error) The voltage required for the lighting has decreased too much. Check for ageing of the light or a failed LED.
FAC(Fatal error) The unit is outputting more current than expected.
FAt(Fatal error) The RC1xx is too hot. The unit has a thermal cut out which operates at approximately 65°C to 70°C depending on conditions.
FAS(Error) Internal protection has activated to prevent too much heat in the output driver.
FAA(Error) The light is not compatible with the controller. The TR-RC1xx does not drive the light and the web page reports ‘Triniti Chip device protection’.

TR-CL180

FAt(Event) An over temperature error has occurred.
FAt(Fatal error) The TR-CL180 is too hot. The unit has a thermal cut out which operates at approximately 65°C to 70°C depending on conditions.

RT200

FAt(Event) An over temperature error has occurred.
FAC(Event) An over current error has occurred.
POInternal power dissipation is too high. Output turned off. Or internal protection has prevented SafePower voltage going too high.
OPOutput current to lighting is too low or the requested output current requires too high a voltage.
SHThe output is short circuit, or the output current is too high, or the voltage required for the lighting has decreased too much. Check for ageing of the lighting or a failed LED.
HIThe voltage required for the lighting has increased too much. Check for ageing of the lighting or a failed LED.
LOThe voltage required for the lighting has decreased too much. Check for ageing of the lighting or a failed LED.
